Enhancing STEM Disciplines at STCC -- We will focus on two specific initiatives at STCC.  One is the Achieving the Dream Project, in which math faculty are implementing and developing new curriculum as well as  instituting technology in order to support and retain students in developmental math classes.  The goal of these interventions is that students will go on to pursue degrees where math is a component.    We will also look at a program designed to support students with disabilities in the STEM disciplines and examine how a linked class is addressing their individual needs and giving them the foundation they need to be successful in the STEM disciplines.  The specific configuration are   linked classes, one of which is a freshman seminar course, and the other is a principles of biology course.
