Forensics for Middle School Teachers -- This course is intended for middle school teachers in Massachusetts who wish to increase their understanding of basic biological and chemical concepts and how these ideas can be incorporated into their classroom curricula.  In addition, participants will be introduced to the methods employed by forensic scientists in the examination of physical evidence, they will be given the opportunity to develop the skills necessary for the safe, successful completion of laboratory experiments, and they will explore basic principles of chemistry and biology and their application to forensic science.  The course has been developed following the MTEL Mathematics/Science Middle School Licensure Test Objectives and the Massachusetts Science and Engineering Curriculum Framework.
