Inquiry Based Learning -- Students learn by first attempting problems at level, or somewhat challenging.  The instructor gives clues or hints.  During the period of struggle, students are constructing their own learning.  The teacher then explains the concept and gives additional problems.    Students are given multiple opportunities to express their thought processes.  They present their work in front of their peers.  They journal.  They have traditional and non-traditional assessments.
