An Integrated Approach to Physics and Mathematics for Middle School Teachers --
This course focuses on concepts of force, motion, work and power; energy and energy transformations; characteristics of waves and the behavior of sound and light waves; principles of electricity, magnetism and electromagnetism. This course uses algebra, statistics and trigonometry as problem solving tools. It meets the following MTEL objectives 51-0029-51-0032, 51-005-51-0011, 51-0016, 51-0018 and Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks learning standards Physical Science 6.1-6.14, 7.7-7.20, 8.19- 8.22 and Mathematics 4.P.1-4, 4.P.6, 8.P.5-10, 8.G.1-8, 4.D.1-6, 6.D.1-4.
