Robotics for Middle School Teachers -- This course will provide middle school teachers with hands-on experience in robotics.  The course will focus on developing an understanding of robotics as a basis for teaching programming and mechanical design.  Systematic problem-solving will also be emphasized.  The course format will be split between lecture-based discussion of concepts and guided exercises.  During the guided exercises, participants will work in teams of two or three on specific tasks with actual robots.  This course will be taught at an introductory level, and it will be assumed that participants have no prior knowledge of programming, engineering or robotics.
