For the past three years, WGBY has provided outreach support to the Pioneer Valley STEM Network, promoting teacher participation in summer professional development through the use of our teacher listserv and offering a variety educational resources to course participants.  From access to streaming video programs such as Discovery streaming and Teachers’ Domain, to hands-on PBS activities and lessons guided by STEM objectives, WGBY visited multiple summer programs with specifically tailored sets of resources to program content areas (i.e. Engineering is Elementary, Middle School Math, Electricity and Circuits, etc.).  In addition, WGBY has worked in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Education and Easthampton Public Schools to offer two additional PBS TeacherLine online courses to PVSTEM network participants in Elementary Life Science and Earth and Space Science.
