Please prepare your abstract in a word-processing
program using a Helvetica or Arial 12-point font. The title should be centered
at the top of the page and in bold type. Use upper-case letters for the
beginning of each word (articles, conjunctions etc. excepted). Two spaces
should separate the title from your name and affiliation, which should be
italicized and centered. Within the title and the author lines, keep it
single-spaced. Use standard margins (1” top and bottom; 1 ¼ inch left and
right) and do not right-justify the text.
The body of the abstract should begin
after two spaces, indent the left margin one-half inch. Text should be
single-spaced, with double spacing between paragraphs. Abstracts can be any
length up to three pages, and they
may include figures or
tables if they are embedded successfully into the document. Set the text so
that it will wrap around any insertions. Following these guidelines will greatly assist our task
of preparing an abstract volume for the conference.
Please submit your properly formatted
abstract no later than May 1, 2001, preferably by attachment to an e-mail
message to:
pathways@k12s.phast.umass.edu.
In
your message, please indicate if you prefer a 20-minute oral session, or a
poster presentation.
If
this is not possible, please send a formatted diskette to:
